The "ABC"s of Prayer - DEPENDANCE

The letter D in the "ABC"s of prayer stands for DEPENDANCE. Our dependance should be in Christ. In fact the words of Christ in John 15 indicate that without Him, we can do nothing.(John 15:5)If we abide in Christ however, there are amazing results that come from our dependance and reliance on Him. First of all, we will be fruitful!(John 15:5)How good to know our dependance on Christ will result in the furtherance of the kingdom of God simply because we rely on Him. Secondly, the word of God tells us that if we depend on Christ, we will experience the love and fullness of joy of the Father.(John 15:10)Finally;as it applies to prayer, our dependance on Christ gives us the incomprehensible knowledge of the fact that we can "ask what you will, and it will be done for you." (John 15:7)What a promise! We can enter into prayer with expectation for results as an outcome of our dependance on Him.
